It seems like it's adequate protection. I've dropped my phone from a hight of about 2-3 feet while falling asleep on my couch holding my phone, a few times. However I have not dropped it from 5-6 or 7 feet like UAG advises it's adequate for. This is a case that is one piece of molded plastic. One layer. I've been using OtterBox commuter series cases for the better part of the last five or six years on my cell phones, and those cases come in two parts one rubber part that surrounds the phone, and a harder shell that clips onto the phone, hugging the rubber to the sides and the back in a really, a really great way. The reason why I purchased this case, after purchasing an OtterBox commuter series case for my Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra, is that the rubber on this OtterBox case, started to warp on the top right hand corner and it wouldn't, fit snugly against the upper right hand corner of the phone. So I found the UAG brand, they got good reviews so I went with the Pathfinder.
